Shiva Shenavai

Shiva Shenavai is an Associate Attorney with Trachtman & Motu LLP. Her practice focuses on complex civil litigation, including transportation, premises liability, construction, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and other tort matters. She represents clients through all phases of litigation, from case evaluation and discovery through dispositive motions, settlement, and trial.

Prior to joining Trachtman & Motu LLP, Shiva practiced with a national civil defense firm, where she represented clients in high-exposure transportation, premises liability, construction, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury matters. She has experience developing litigation strategy, drafting dispositive motions, taking depositions, and preparing cases for mediation and trial.

Before entering civil practice, Shiva served as a Deputy Public Defender assigned to the felony trial unit of the Orange County Public Defender’s Office. She tried multiple jury trials to verdict, conducted numerous preliminary hearings, and litigated contested evidentiary motions. Her courtroom experience continues to shape her strategic, trial-ready approach to civil litigation.

Shiva earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School, where she received multiple academic honors, including CALI Excellence for the Future Awards and Witkin Awards in Civil Procedure and Legal Profession. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University, Fullerton.
