Troy D. Holan

Troy D. Holan is an associate attorney practicing within the firm’s tort defense practice.

Troy graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Public Law Emphasis, along with a Minor in Law & Society. He then attended California Western School of Law in San Diego, where he appeared on the Dean’s List, participated in the Pro Bono Honor’s Society, and received the top grade in his Trial Practice course. Troy graduated with his Juris Doctorate in Spring 2014 and was admitted to the State Bar of California later that Fall.

In 2014, Troy began practicing law as a Deputy Public Defender for the Public Defender’s Office in San Diego. He participated in numerous felony  and misdemeanor jury trials, conducting 15 jury trials to verdict as first chair. Troy left the Public Defender’s Office and operated as a solo practitioner for several years before joining The Meehan (formerly Kavinoky) Law Firm in 2021, where he managed the entire San Diego territory for the Firm, negotiated cases for settlement, filed and argued various procedural or substantive Motions in court, and conducted other criminal hearings.

After Troy’s time working in the criminal defense field, he began his civil litigation career with the Trachtman Law Group LLP as an Associate Attorney. Troy is thrilled to bring his years of courtroom experience and innovative ideas on board to best advocate for our Firm’s clients.

In his free time, Troy enjoys cheering on his favorite sports teams, the outdoors, traveling, cooking, and spending time with his dogs.
